Death Note review
This is truly a great series. The story starts off with a teenager who finds a book labeled Death Note. He finds out, after testing it, that writing the full name of someone you've seen before kills that person. Young Light tries to bring justice to the world by using this book but is challenged by the government, telling him that what he's doing is wrong. I absolutely loved the beginning of this series when it was Light vs. L. Towards the end it started to progress a little fast and I was a little bit disappointed with the ending because I felt it
wasn't as hype as I was expecting. Overall a great read, it has flaws but for the most part it's death note people. :)

Akatsuki no Yona review
I've never been so devoted to a manga as this one. I'm even reading tumblr spoilers because i cant wait for next chapter T.T
Not only is the story amazing, I love the way you see the characters develop during the manga. Also the side stories are so touching and they always keep me in their gasp to the very last words. The way the manga mixes history, mystics and comedy is truly making this a masterpiece. And than that touch of romance now and than LOVE IT. The Heroine in the story is probably the best female character I've ever seen. She isn't the common everyday heroine who suddenly has all the power. She is badass in her own way and i love it

Youkai Banchou review
This manga takes you to a world that is fairly vague and that's important in this story. There is very little dialog and practically no exposition, so you have to figure out everything by yourself. That however is exactly the part that I like so much about this manga. All the characters are socially awkward but not at all like the tropes that you see a lot. The kids behave like kids and are not especially heroic (if I think I might die I will run away) and listen to the authority of elders. Those in their place think things through before acting, usually.
The art is very different to other manga, but that doesn't necessarily make it good. I can bear it but I won't be praising it. What makes this manga good is the lack of exposition in the story and the unexpected characters. It's a shame that it got cancelled and that it doesn't have a real ending.

MIKA NI HARASSMENT review
An underrated fetish manga labeled as ecchi manga.
I don't know what's the modern barometer for ecchi nowadays but to me this is not it and this is what makes Mika a fun short manga to sit down and read up on. Execution wise, it seems the first plot gets most of the accolades but I think anyone looking for a special short story would be disappointment. What makes Mika great is how much it gets things past the radar and by great, I mean in a sort of referential kind of thing. Not in terms of quality. One way to look at it is if you're familiar with the subtleties of the themes in the manga, it's an 8 because of how absurd the whole concept is pulled off. Even your regular hentai mangas normally don't try to sell these type of concepts. It really tries to be an entire manga parodying fridge logic and while this isn't the first strange manga nor is it the best in terms of creating lewd innuendo, this is the most daring one I've seen. On the down side, this manga's quality is predicated on your knowledge of different H fetishes. Things like dick girls, furries, diaper girls... you have to know this AND you have to accept that the characters are normal anime characters put into strange situations. If not, then most of the manga loses in impact on the storytelling portion. This is not to say the manga becomes disinteresting but it becomes closer to a mediocre ecchi manga.

A Cat That Loved a Fish review
I really liked this manhwa. You can't read the words' literal meaning because it involves a lot of figurative language and symbolism.
Let me just clear this up - the manhwa isn't really a story, it's more like a secret being told. It's cryptic - yes, even the title itself is an analogy that fits the two protagonists perfectly; the first two lines are also used as a comparison to a something you can't have no matter how hard you wish for it. Sure the main focus wasn't romance, rather it was just the love that's secretly harbored. Also, the protagonists accept their love for the other and don't struggle with thought's that are usually found in other mangas - like "I can't be by his side" or anythiing like that. The acceptance of the reality of their situation and the figurative language used to convey the purity and the depth of their love shows that even love that cannot be conveyed is beautiful. My first thoughts after reading this were "Wow. This is a work of art."

HOTEL HARBOUR VIEW review
Common manga tends to be mediocre, with ‘Hotel Harbour View’ we have the supposed opposite side, a manga who tries to be serious, sophisticated, but that is as simple and plain as ‘One Piece’, but much more pretentious.
The characters have travelled all around the world, they remember experiences lived in L.A., Macao, Tokyo, París, Hong Kong, bla, bla, with this thing the authors think they are creating interesting characters inside a mature manga that is not. Let alone the situations like the man with cancer who hires a prostitute to kill him, situations that seem straight out of a cheap imitation of Wong Kar-Wai. The only thing that is nice is the drawing, especially the cities, although it’s not something that we haven’t already seen in mangas or animes with aesthetics like this one.

RaW Hero review
Raw Hero is a work that alot of people reading it probably have an in-grained bias towards, as Akira Hiramoto lost a great deal of good will among fans after the controversial ending to Prison School. This being his first project since PS ended, readers tend to hold that ending against Raw Hero. Putting aside real life events, is Raw Hero any good? It is one of the weirdest works ive ever read, with bizarre plot plots, insane character motivations and backstories, extremely over the top fanservice, and you're basically more than halfway done the manga before the plot even starts. Point by point:
Story: Super weird. Sets itself up as kind of an X-Men superhero story, before becoming a crossdressing harem romance, with some chapters of pure sex comedy and some chapters of shonen fight scenes. I'm honestly not sure it even has a plot, given how seemingly random everything is. At the very least, the ending is extremely dissapointing, giving zero resolution to the romance, the superhero plots, and literally not mentioning what happened to a few of the major characters. The manga might be trying to make some kind of point that fixating on the larger plot is pointless and you should just have fun along the way, but it just comes off as disjointed and unsatisfying. I'd give it 4/10. Art: Looks very similar to Prison School, which is to say really great. It emphasizes a sense of photorealism, which really highlights the clash between the insane events and the realistic visuals. Hiramoto also draws maybe the most fetishy manga women I've ever seen outside of Hentai, so if you enjoy that style you'll like this. 9/10 Character: Characters are polarizing, since they're not very fleshed out and seem to more be tools for comedy than actual human beings with personalities. I wanted to avoid making this whole review a comparison to Prison School, but the characters in PS had fleshed out personalities and were easy to become emotionally invested in, which I can't really say was the case for Raw Hero. Enjoyment: Despite having so many flaws on a technichal level, the work is so idiosyncratic its hard not to at least have some fun with it. Hiramoto has a weirdly philosophical sense of humor and an earnest approach to life, so there are parts of it that are fun to read, but you have to get through the thick layer of bizarre crap and unexplained plot points to get to it. Overall: 5/10. Its a work with alot of flaws, but at the very least it will stand out in your memory. Final thoughts: Prison School's ending pissed people off because it was a manga they loved and the ending robbed them of a satisfying conclusion. While this ending was also rushed and unsatisfying (it may have been axed prematurely) I don't actually care enough about the story to be that upset by it. Thanks to AloneScans for making it available in english

Vandread review
This is a manga loosely (very loosely) based on the Vandread anime. Like the anime, it's set in a universe in which men and women occupy different planets and are perpetually at war. And like the anime, it deals mostly with Hibiki, a boy who finds himself on a ship full of women pirates, as he is tasked with piloting a mecha against a new enemy to both men and women.
The similarities end there. In the manga, Hibiki is the only man on the ship. His relationship with Dita progresses much faster than in the anime. Some crew members are different, or have very different personalities. And the nature of the external threat is very different. Story (5): The outlines of the story are fine. The universe makes for an interesting setting, and I like the faster relationship progression between Hibiki and Dita. The problem with the story in the manga, however, is that it just moves way too quickly. Action sequences are confusing. Parts of the plot are left unexplained. Characters come and go with very little introduction. If this were three or four times as long, I think I would like it a lot; but right now, it's just sort of confusing at times. Art (6): The character models are well drawn., and the ship looks appropriately cool. The problem is that the action sequences aren't drawn horribly well. Something confusing will happen in a panel, and then the next panel some character will explain exactly what just happened. There is too much "telling" and not enough "showing", which doesn't make for a good action manga. Character (7): In general, I liked this version of Hibiki, Dita, and the rest of the crew. They are likable people, trying to make the most of their situation. The problem is, once again, things are rushed. There is some character development, especially with Dita and Hibiki, although even then they sometimes do things that seem out of character for them. Everyone else just seems to lack consistency in their actions. Enjoyment (6): As someone who has seen--and liked--the anime, I found this an interesting alternate take on the universe, especially as concerning the relationship between Hibiki and Dita. If they had taken more time to develop the plot and characters, I would have liked it a lot. As it is... it's okay. Overall (6): If you've seen the anime, and are interesting in alternate universe stories, I'd give this a cautious recommendation. Otherwise, it's probably best to stay away. The Vandread manga isn't bad... but there are quite a few better action, sci fi, and romance manga out there than this one.

Apartmate review
The basic central theme is sex on apartments, even tho one time it happens outside the apartments. Actually, there are three almost completely disjoint story lines in this, with chapters in mixed order:
* 100 x 200, divided in 13 Battles; * A Room With A Nice View, divided in two parts; * Apart-mate, with 11 Conversations; * One 100 x 200 + Apart-mate crossover episode with an Afterword (chapter 15) * A final chapter that I haven't read yet. All the stories have nudity, but only Nice View is hot and heavy. The chapters are very short. The stories other than Apart-mate have self-contained chapters, you can just read one chapter and be happy with a full story. Its all unpretentious slice of life. 100 x 200 is a very cute romcom about two co-workers into a casual sexual relationship. They are always trying to shrug the homebody attitude and develop more romantic activities but the world conspires against them. It has nudity but nothing really explicit. 10/10 would read much more stories in this style. A Room With A Nice View is a very short Ecchi story about a shy girl and a exploring guy horsing around in his apartment. Too short to develop anything, but interesting nonetheless 8/10 would read if it became a series like 100 x 200. Apart-mate is a series about a struggling writer guy submitting to financial and sexual domination by the previous tenant of the apartment he just rented. He actually likes her but she wants nothing beyond the domination. Its the less graphic of the three stories, it has some nudity but no contact is explicitly shown. It has a developed background plot, some character development and was vaguely inspired by a real story. As far as I could explore using Google, the Afterword on chapter 15 was never fully translated into English. I'd like very much to have a full translation. Art was very good and adequate to the storytelling style. 10/10 Characters: 100 x 200 has some basic character development, Nice View is too short to have anything but Ecchi, Apart-mate has two strong realistic characters with non-traditional stories. Some people will cringe about where the development leads the characters in Apart-mate, but there is some definite - and realistic - development. 10/10 You will enjoy it if you think of it as unpretentious sex stories. 10/10 Overal rating 10/10
