Koizumi Yuta is a 14-years-old boy who has quite a bit of a problem. The princess of the magical world, Lucia, has to procreate with him. That child would have the ability to engulf the entire world for 7 whole days. Mikamoto El and Kasukabe Rie are the two angels assigned to make sure that doesn't happen. Kasukabe Rie happens to be the girl he likes. Just how is he going to survive this ordeal?

Princess Lucia review
This is an incredibly standard harem romcom with a tsundere as the lead. Still, while it isn't terribly unique, it was pretty good for what it was. While there isn't really much in the way of character development, and relationship development is actually pretty weak for the genre, where it does succeed is that it has a lot of interesting characters, wherein despite having so many, they all seem to work together and there's no feeling of them being underdeveloped for the most part. In terms of plot, it is underdeveloped though, in that it doesn't really go anywhere for most of the manga. Rather than an overarching narrative, it's more like a set of
loosely related episodes, and in the end while it does get a bit intense and there are cool moments, it was rushed and the way things end up is somewhat weak. Still, the individual episodes while not contributing much to an overarching narrative, did contribute to a common theme of unity between the various factions around Yuta, and it does a pretty good job of following that all the way to the end. Furthermore, these individual episodes in and of themselves were pretty amusing with some solid comedy. The art was also really good.
tl;dr: A standard but solid rom-com. |
Princess Lucia review
Prepubescent boy that enjoys scantly clad hot chicks going after a boy? This manga's for you.
Story is fairly basic but with a fresh new twist, girl forced by father to marry/copulate with a guy, girl is resistant, girl falls in love with boy. Although this is a proved true storyline with a few twists (girl is demon princess) this happens in the span of 2 chapters... The art for this is very good, especially if you enjoyed the mangaka's previous works like KnIM or Suzuka. While reading this, I immediately discovered who the mangaka is, due to the defined artwork. Characters are the standard set for a harem manga, no surprises here, but it works if you enjoy the genre. All in all this is a must read for fans of Seo Kouji, and harem fans, and I look forward to upcoming releases |
