Made in Abyss review
I write this with the biased perspective of a Christian.

Though, as is obvious to note, all perspectives are biased due to our individuality and experiences in life. That being said, if anyone has similar biases as me, then this review is for you.

Others have written about this in other reviews, but I feel it important to add my voice to theirs because what this manga portrays is absolutely appalling and horrific to anyone who values the lives of not just children, but human beings. Like a frog put in warm water only to be boiled, there isn't as much child pornography (yes, child pornography) in the beginning of the story. If you're like me and saw the anime first, then you also may think it won't be so bad because the anime is so beautiful and breathtaking that you hardly think about its depictions of these children which are utterly abused in the manga.

I don't want to go into detail because I don't feel I need to--others have done that I believe for the most part. Honestly, all you need to know about this story is that the writer is very disrespectful and perverted to be drawing and writing these things. To bask in the suffering of children in the ways as depicted in this story is nothing short of a disgrace. It pretends to be something it is not--literally a wolf in sheep's clothing.

Basically, to sum up my harsh and dramatic review, the anime was so interesting that we forgot about the somewhat awkward things that disturbed us, but the manga shows that it truly is an absolute garbage story in my utterly biased and proud of it perspective.

One Punch-Man review

Story - Spoiler alerts - (8 out of 10)

The story revolves on an unemployed man who became an unknown undefeatable superhero who has been saving the cities from dangerous atrocities done by evil monsters or humans. This superhero was called Saitama. Three years ago, on his way home, he met a dangerous crab monster after being rejected by a job interview, the crab monster spared Saitama's life after recognizing lifeless eyes of Saitama. In fact, Saitama wasn't the Crab monster's target, it was a cleft-chin boy who drew nipples on his chest.  Saitama, after saving a cleft-chin child, realized that his dream was to become a hero not a job-hunter. In fact, that was his childhood dream career.

After intensive training for 3 years, Saitama has become an overpowered hero who wins battles with merely one punch. Saitama's overpower made him bored and made his fights unenjoyable.

Art (10 out of 10)

The art of OPM is mesmerizing and most of the characters are definitely charming and has matured looks, especially our heroes and some of our villains.

Yusuke Murata's art of one punch man is so attractive, aesthetic, natural, pure & eye-catchy.  I respect him & love his art.

Character - Some spoiler alerts - ( 10 out of 10 )

Saitama: A 25 years old man with funny bored-look on his face who looks nice when serious and look good with hair. He was an unemployed man who became our overpowered placid unknown superhero after hard conventional training for 3 years without taking days off. He speaks less, dislikes it when people are talkative & is not serious during fights and that makes his enemies furious due to his careless actions. (I love him, he is funny and comedian.)

Saitama achieved his dream by becoming a superhero but lost enjoyment of battles.

Genos: A 19 years old cyborg, S-class hero of 17th rank & an ultimate loyal disciple of Saitama. His goal is to destroy the cyborg that destroyed his city and killed his people. He is loyal and looks up at Saitama with respect after being saved by Saitama & witnessing Saitama's power and using it for justice. He is quite talkative and is always serious.

My comment: I suggest you to read it's manga and to watch it's anime. It's worth watching and reading.. and you might like it. You have to give it a try first instead of judging it because of how overpowered is Saitama.

This is my first review and it's not that good. Forgive my grammar errors & errors regarding any line or repetition. I hope I get better in reviewing manga in the near future.

(Although I am currently enjoying the manga, I will still omit the enjoyment and overall parts for now because I am in chapter 12.)

Death Note review
At first I didn't want to read Death Note because people were telling me not to. They said it was boring and all the main character did was kill people by writing their name in his note book. If you know people like this, don't listen to them. I picked up volumes one through three in my school library, read them, decided to keep reading and now I'm a fan of the series.

The story is good, it's not the greatest thing ever. It includes a lot of talk and content that makes you think, if you're not into this then maybe you should pass it up. Anyways, it's basically the same thing back and forth between Light and L but you become intrigued to see what happens next every step of the way. There are a few intense moments during the story but that's about it.

The art style isn't amazing either but it's a lot better than other things out there are the moment. The detail isn't prized so much in the backgrounds but in the detail of the characters. They're given a lot of detail in certain frames and it makes their 'emotions' stand out.

The characters are probably the most interesting part of Death Note. Light and L really steal the show for different reasons. For Light, it's because of his ever changing personality and his quest to rid the world of criminals using the Death Note. He was donned with the nickname "Kira". With L, it's because he's so abnormal to anything I can think of right now... from the way he sits to the way he plays with his food. I'll let you find out for yourself. If you read it from beginning to end, you'll see how much the characters evolve and change.

I actually really enjoyed reading Death Note... up to volume seven. Something big happens in that volume that turns most readers away from reading it but because of the way my brain works, I read it all the way to the end. The second half of Death Note was decent, it didn't have that original fire to it but it was still enough to keep me wondering what will happen next. I found that the final volume was well worth having to go through four mediocre volumes to get to.

Overall I think Death Note is something that you either love or hate. You can't really say until you've tried to read it and then make a fair judgment. I still think that Death Note would have been considered amazing if it ended at volume seven. Even though it went all the way to volume twelve, it could have added some sort of good spice to the mix instead of giving the readers a new annoying character in Mello. Anyways, it was a good read and I recommend it to anyone who enjoys reading psychological manga.

Overlord review
I have read the first 11 volumes, and this review will be based on that. Overlord begins with a player of an MMO in the future. The servers were about to shut down for good as it was an old game. As Ainz, the protagonist, is reminiscing about his time spent there in the marvelous fortress he and his guild members built during that time, it turns out that the servers were not shut down. Instead, Ainz finds that all of the NPC's (non playable characters, a term for video games) have been given life and can speak, and that they are now in an unfamiliar, fantasy world filled with goblins, dragons, giants, magicians, soldiers, adventurers, demons, etc. Sounds like something you've seen before, doesn't it? Well, fret not. This isn't exactly something you've seen repeatedly.

First, Ainz and his main party, the NPC's, are essentially the equivalent of gods in this new world. They are extremely powerful in their abilities and spells, due to Ainz' stats and abilities being maxed from his time playing the game. Second, the main cast of characters are often cold, and in some cases, would even be considered cruel, but ultimately, they are only trying to further their own goals. Ainz' goal, or purpose, could even be considered noble- he hopes to find his lost guild members, whom were also his friends, in this strange world, and eventually, his goal even culminates into trying to change the world into a utopia for everyone. In addition, Ainz is a lich- an undead monster, and his companions are nothing but a group of demon's and undead.

Thus, through most of the series as of 11 volumes, it features Ainz and his group of NPC's trying to discover the world and increase their power and influence over it. That is because despite being exceptionally powerful, not many would favor being ruled under monsters, and neither do they trust them. In additon, despite being gods it is apparent by the end of the third volume there are other individuals in the world whom may rival Ainz's power.

It makes for an interesting concept. Many basic ideas from other stories and settings are used, but the fresh ideas give this tale a unique flavor, and it blends together almost perfectly.

The characters in particular deserve special mention. Ainz is already unique as a protagonist. He is a monster, insanely powerful, and can be both a cruel and a hero, depending on what best suits his needs. He is not a genius, in fact one of his NPC's is even more intelligent than him, but neither is he a hot-headed idiot either, often making calculated decisions. Much enjoyment comes from seeing regular humans and other, far lesser in power individuals trying to overcome Ainz.

The NPCs are a small group of dark elves, monsters, demons, etc which serve Ainz. The primary ones are almost as strong as he is, and most of them were created by his friends. As a result, he has quite an attachment to them as the last remnants of his friends. They as well, are all incredibly loyal to him. They all share a strong bond, and there are tender moments shared between them on occasion.

Of course, there are a few, albeit minimal, number of characters which are dull (all humans, mind you). They take up sections and I find myself skimming over some of the parts that feel dragged out, even if it's necessary for some world building and character motivation.

Art-wise it's pretty good, although neither would I say it especially stands out as fantastic either. I would have liked more pictures as well personally, but I'm not sure what the norm amount is these days for a light novel, either.

Not only is this a fantastic light novel, but as a story in general it works exceptionally well. The characters and direction feels fresh and inviting, despite the fact many of it's basic premises are not. I would highly recommend this series to anyone, especially if they enjoy a fantasy setting.

Pros:
+Fantastic overall cast of characters with unique, tender relationships.
+Fresh ideas added to typical setting give the series some amazing zest.
+Writing is usually fluid.

Cons:
-While most of the cast is fantastic, a few recurring characters are dull
-pacing can move too fast at times and too slow at others

Botabota review
Bota Bota is a story that intrigued me with it's surrealism in it's main protagonist, while still remaining with realism in it's other subjects and themes.

The story is simple, yet it opens a lot of opportunities for situations and events. Mako (the main protagonist) suffers from condition, that doesn't let her touch filthy things, without making her bleed big masses of blood. Because of this illness, she haves problems with her love life and finding a soul mate. Every chapter follows the same formula: She encounters a man, tries to get close to him but fails miserably because of her sickness.
You'd think that when every chapter haves this formula thing are going to repetitive. Every chapter is well done, and there nothing repeats. The theme in the chapters, the new characters, the situations are always different and things always play out different. You see Mako's way of thinking, her old memories of her mother, the struggles she haves because of her condition. The characters react realistically, and it shows that Paru Itagaki (the writer and artist) really put a lot of thought while making this manga.
Still, not everything in the manga is perfect. The first chapter wasn't a very good introduction.
Mako is introduced in a very wrong light -  she is scary, her actions are very forced and she tried to boil someone's rooster, while in the next chapters she is more soft and not so pushy. I'm not sure if Paru wanted the readers to get the wrong idea for Mako on porpose, or she was still experimenting with her.

The characters feel as if they're real people.
When Mako understood that a man doesn't have love feeling for her, she isn't trying to change him or his opinion. She aknoweges his feelings.
The minor characters she encounters are all different from looks to characteristics.
Even if the first chapter was flawed, the manga haves enough time to fix it's mistakes.
It had well done plot twists, unexpected ending and mature well handled themes.

Still, this manga may not be for anybody, since it can be a little bit too grusome at times or some people may not like the main idea of the plot.
This manga is worth reading if you're Paru Itagaki's manga fan, like shorter manga or you preffer something more differend.
But be aware that it's not for anybody.
